POST EXECUTION CONFESSIONAL FOR AGENT AARON

Aaron was a player who did well in challenges and he kept up with his Blog entries. Also, I think he would have done well in the Big Switcheroo. His execution was due (in part) to a low Mole Score. I hope you will follow along with the game to see who will win. FYI...Except for Heidi, every Agent has survived the Virus and Evin will survive it too because he is a good player and should stay. Good Luck To Everyone in Episode 5!

PADRAIG'S TV SHOWS ON DVD COLLECTION

In an effort to generate a little interaction between the remaining OMC5 Agents, I would like to know if any of you have seen these TV shows? If so, what is your opinion of them? BTW, this informal exchange is not limited to just the Agents...the Host & Judges are welcome to comment (if they would like to). I hope to hear from you soon. Other TV shows will be posted later.

PUBLIC CONFESSIONAL FOR CHALLENGE 4.1, 4.2

TYCOON: I did not think that one Agent would willingly give away tokens to another Agent to help them gain an Exemption...I was wrong. Congrats to Fred for gaining 3 additional tokens and winning the Exemption. I was content to just have 3 tickets.

BIG SWITCHEROO: I did not think I would be picked to switched identities, so I was prepared to ask the right questions and pick the correct two Agents. When it was offered to me, I did not turn it down because I had a chance to gain +2 points on the next Mole Quiz. During the challenge, I tried to get help with a question, but could not find the right answer, so I had to make an excuse for not answering. I thought this might give me away, but it worked out in the end. Congrats to Evin for also gaining +2 points on the next Mole Quiz.

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY INFO

1.
Saint Patrick is believed to have been born in the late fourth century, and is often confused with Palladius, a bishop who was sent by Pope Celestine in 431 to be the first bishop to the Irish believers in Christ.
2.
Saint Patrick was the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland who is credited with bringing christianity to Ireland. Most of what is known about him comes from his two works, the Confessio, a spiritual autobiography, and his Epistola, a denunciation of British mistreatment of Irish christians. Saint Patrick described himself as a "most humble-minded man, pouring forth a continuous paean of thanks to his Maker for having chosen him as the instrument whereby multitudes who had worshipped idols and unclean things had become the people of God."
3.
Saint Patrick is most known for driving the snakes from Ireland. It is true there are no snakes in Ireland, but there probably never have been - the island was separated from the rest of the continent at the end of the Ice Age. As in many old pagan religions, serpent symbols were common and often worshipped. Driving the snakes from Ireland was probably symbolic of putting an end to that pagan practice. While not the first to bring christianity to Ireland, it is Patrick who is said to have encountered the Druids at Tara and abolished their pagan rites. The story holds that he converted the warrior chiefs and princes, baptizing them and thousands of their subjects in the "Holy Wells" that still bear this name.
4.
There are several accounts of Saint Patrick's death. One says that Patrick died at Saul, Downpatrick, Ireland, on March 17, 460 A.D. His jawbone was preserved in a silver shrine and was often requested in times of childbirth, epileptic fits, and as a preservative against the "evil eye." Another account says that St. Patrick ended his days at Glastonbury, England and was buried there. The Chapel of St. Patrick still exists as part of Glastonbury Abbey. Today, many Catholic places of worship all around the world are named after St. Patrick, including cathedrals in New York and Dublin city.
5.
Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Most importantly, to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
6.
So, why is it celebrated on March 17th? One theory is that that is the day that St. Patrick died. Since the holiday began in Ireland, it is believed that as the Irish spread out around the world, they took with them their history and celebrations. The biggest observance of all is, of course, in Ireland. With the exception of restaurants and pubs, almost all businesses close on March 17th. Being a religious holiday as well, many Irish attend mass, where March 17th is the traditional day for offering prayers for missionaries worldwide before the serious celebrating begins.
7.
In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green!

POST EXECUTION CONFESSIONAL FOR AGENT KEITH

I am really surprised to see Keith get executed so soon. I thought he could make it to the Final 3 (with 2 other predictions to be named later). As you can see, I was wrong. I have to wonder how many other Agents will leave prematurely (including myself). As each Agent gets eliminated, it will become harder to see them go. Lastly, his execution may have been due to lack of posting and activity at challenges. Either way, I am sorry to see you go, Keith. Take Care!

PUBLIC CONFESSIONAL FOR CHALLENGE 3.1, 3.2, 3.3

PACKAGE PERIL: This is a challenge that I did not want to miss, but due to PC crashes & freezes, I had to drop out of the competition. I took my PC to be fixed at Fire Dog (a service offered at Circuit City). I am glad that money was earned to the Pot.

FIND MINI MOLE: At least we got 10 out of 30. It could have been better, but I did not know any of the photos...including Dublin, Ireland. On a personal note, I was born in Ireland, but did not grow up there.

TABLOID TWIST: We earned money from this challenge also. 7 out of 8 answers were correct without the benefit of 3 photos. I should have check the Tina Fey answer before commiting to the wrong one. Sorry guys!
